Pastor Nichole Johnson was born and raised in North Dakota.  She has two wonderful children, Maya who will be entering 9th grade and Maleah entering 8th grade


Pastor Nichole received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Moorhead State University, majoring in history.  She then attended Wartburg Theological Seminary, garnering her Master of Divinity in Theology.  Pastor Nichole became a rostered, ordained minister in November 2004.


In 2004, Pastor Nichole was called to Abundant Life Lutheran Church in Plainfield, IL, serving as Mission Developer.  In 2006, she was called to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Joliet, IL, serving as Associate Pastor/Mission Development.  She served 6 years in that position.

Pastor Nichole accepted the Call to serve as Pastor of Maple Cheyenne Lutheran Church in Harwood, ND (just outside of Fargo) in 2012.  She has served there for the last 8 years.

During her 16 years of experience, Pastor Nichole has demonstrated several skills, including excellent, meaningful, and relevant sermons; worship leadership, evangelism; strategic mission planning; and stewardship. Strengths include creating a sense of community through building relationships, social ministry, small group ministry, innovation and creativity, and participation in the larger church.


Pastor Nichole sees great opportunity for Faith Lutheran in the future, especially bringing people to Christ and growing our Parish.  She is very passionate about many things, especially building relations, grace, deepening discipleship, social justice, and helping people manage and mark transitions  in their lives.
